British Shorthair Kittens for Sale in Dallas, TX

Dallas is the metro we deliver to most often. It's a straight run up I-45 and back, and Canan does it herself rather than handing your kitten to a courier. A twelve-week-old British Shorthair travelling in a carrier in the footwell with somebody it already knows is a very different experience from cargo shipping.

$2,200$4,500 depending on color and coat, all paperwork included.

Buying a British Shorthair in Dallas

The practical advantage for Dallas buyers is choice. The North Texas market for golden shaded and chinchilla British Shorthairs is thin, and what is available locally is often priced accordingly. Buying from an established Houston program and paying for ground delivery usually works out both cheaper and better documented than the nearest in-metro option.

If you'd rather not wait for a delivery window, you're welcome to drive down. Plenty of Dallas families make a day of it, meet Shila and the queens, and take their kitten home the same afternoon. On the western side of the metroplex, see our Fort Worth page instead.

How does ground delivery to Dallas actually work?

We agree a date once Canan has confirmed your kitten is ready to go and it is fully vetted. Canan drives up with the kitten, its health certificate, TICA paperwork and starter kit, meets you at your home or a place you choose, and stays long enough to answer questions and see the kitten settle. Delivery to Dallas is quoted at cost.

How do I reserve a British Shorthair kitten?

Fill in the reservation form on this site and you'll immediately get a customer number on screen: something like HCM-2607-4H2K. Canan then calls or emails you within 24 hours to talk through which kitten suits your household. If it's a good fit, a deposit of half the kitten's price holds that specific kitten, and the remaining half is due when it goes home. You do not need Instagram or any social media account to reserve; phone and email work perfectly well.

How much do your kittens cost?

Pet kittens generally run between $2,200 and $4,500. Price is set per kitten on three things: its color, its exact color code on the pedigree, and its type — modern, baby face, bear face or classic. Traditional blues sit at the lower end. Golden shaded and golden chinchilla sit above them. Our lilac and pink coats sit at the top, because very few of them exist anywhere. Every listed kitten shows its own price. Breeding rights are priced separately and are only ever sold to established, registered catteries.

What health testing do the parents have?

Every breeding cat is FIV and FeLV negative and has regular veterinary examinations. Genetic and cardiac testing such as PKD and HCM is done where a line calls for it rather than on a fixed schedule for every cat, so those results are not issued automatically with every kitten. Ask us about a specific kitten's mother and father and we will tell you exactly what has been done for those two cats and send you whatever records exist, before you pay anything. We would rather tell you where the paperwork stops than imply there is more of it than there is.

How old are kittens when they go home?

Between eight and twelve weeks. There is no fixed date, and that is deliberate: Canan decides each kitten's homecoming individually based on how it is nursing and how its growth and development are coming along. A kitten that is fully weaned, eating well and thriving at nine weeks is ready at nine weeks. A littermate that is still leaning on its mother goes home later, whatever the calendar or the buyer says. Twenty years of litters is what makes that judgement worth more than a rule.

Do you deliver, and how far?

Pickup in Houston is free. Ground delivery by car covers all of Texas. Canan drives the kitten herself rather than using a courier. For the rest of the United States your kitten flies in-cabin with a professional pet nanny and is handed to you at your arrival gate. We do not ship cats in cargo.
